Someone with a thorn in his side to Swede Thomas Glucksman is all over the Internet, pretending to be Glucksman and making him look like a pedophile and racist. This is turning up in the Google search results for “Thomas Glucksman” (in Swedish). Now, the 61-year-old is suing Google, as he obviously thinks that the American Internet giant is responsible for all online content.

I would have been pissed if I was Glucksman too. Really pissed. It’s human to look for someone else to pay for your own misery, but blaming Google because of the search results is a little steep. However, it is a very interesting example of what can happen these days if someone wants to harm you personally (especially if that someone knows SEO), and how the national and international laws do protect you. I’m far from an expert in the field, but would love to see this criminal case thoroughly investigated.
